Jot

Privacy Notice

Last updated: 8 November 2026

Who we are

Jot is a planning app currently in development, operated by Gaurav Gupta and Diego Cardenas Mora, who is the controller of your personal data.

For privacy questions, contact us at hello@jotyourday.com.

What we collect

When you join our waitlist, we collect your email address. We also record when you signed up and the consent wording you agreed to.

If the link you followed here says where it came from, such as one of our social media posts, we record that source too, so we know where people find Jot.

We also keep a record of whether our welcome email was sent to you, and a random code that powers the unsubscribe link in our emails.

If you email us or reply to one of our emails, we receive your message and your email address.

Why we use it

We use your email address to send you emails about Jot's development, launch and opportunities to test the app. We won't use it to promote unrelated products.

Our lawful basis is your consent. You can withdraw it at any time by unsubscribing or emailing us.

If we ever want to use your information for a new purpose, we'll tell you first and ask for your consent where required.

Who we share it with

We use Resend to send you emails, and Cloudflare to host this website and store the waitlist.

If you email us or reply to one of our emails, Cloudflare Email Routing receives your message and forwards it to our inboxes, which are provided by Google.

These providers handle your data only on our instructions. We never sell your data.

International transfers

Some of these providers may store or process data outside the UK, including in the US. Where they do, we rely on the UK's adequacy regulations for the US (the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework), and where those don't apply, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses to keep it protected.

How long we keep it

We keep your details until 30 September 2027, or until you unsubscribe, whichever comes first.

If Jot doesn't launch, we'll delete the waitlist and let you know.

Resend keeps short-term records of the emails we send you, such as whether they were delivered, for a limited period after sending.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or erase your data, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format.

You can withdraw your consent at any time. To use any of these rights, email us at hello@jotyourday.com.

How to complain

If you're unhappy with how we use your data, please contact us first at hello@jotyourday.com.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator.
